A grand and City’s much anticipated festival start today. Chennai people are really very lucky. They will have Chennai Sangamam mixture of our own village arts/performances like Karagattam, Oyilattam, Mayilattam etc on every January. And another Sangamam of world movies on December every year called CIFF.
This 8th Chennai Film Festival will be very different from its previous ones.
A lot of new things are going to be introduced.
CIFF has gained another theater INOX.
There will be a red carpet screening for our own lovable film makers everyday from 16th dec to 22nd dec at INOX.
A unique award will be given to the winning film makers in various competitions.
Film Buff award has been introduced first time in CIFF history
Latest films which have won various awards all over the world will be screened.
Right from TV actress Shailaja to National award winner Suhashini have worked hard with ICAF personals for the past 2 months for making 8th CIFF a grand success.
Actress Rohini will be the happiest woman today for not only being a part of the 8th CIFF organizing committee and also celebrating her birthday today.
